Daniel and Menorah McCarty have served as pioneer missionaries in Southeast Asia for more than two and a half decades. What began as one family's desire to help local pastors and win the lost to Christ has now become a ministry recognized across Asia for its impact on thousands of lives in six different nations. The McCartys founded two indigenous Bible schools and their annual leadership conferences have reached thousands of pastors and church leaders from the Philippines, Burma, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan and America. They are widely respected in the U.S. and Asia for their cultural sensitivity, firm belief in local leadership and their drive to go to the uttermost parts of the earth. Affiliated with Christian Faith Ministries of Denton, Texas the McCartys reside in Chiang Mai, Thailand with a base in Chicago, Illinois. Daniel and Menorah are the proud parents of

From the remote corners of the Philippine islands to the far away cities of Upper Burma, these pioneer missionaries have faithfully carried the Gospel through media, crusades and worship events. They have witnessed over 100,000 souls come to Christ through thier citywide crusades and film evangalism ministry. Together with their national teams and local pastors, Daniel and Menorah have been blazing a trail for the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Southeast Asia.

Come To The River

Come To The River is our annual leadership training seminar. It is held in the Philippines Islands in January and is attented by hundreds of pastors.

Last year, a record 7 nations, and over 30 provinces were represented. Pastors are renewed, touched by God, and inspired with a fresh vision and Divine guidance for the coming year. Equipped with these tools they go forth producing tremendous results. We have received countless testimonies of lives changed and new believers won to Christ as a direct result of this endeavor.

Rahab's Rescue

Rahab's Rescue is our arm of compassion and humanitarian relief. While serving in Thailand our hearts became burdened for many precious lives damaged through sexual trafficking, exploitation and abandonment. By assisting safe-homes that are up and running in Burma and Thailand, we are making a world of difference. We deliver funds for orphans, sexually exploited children, and provide scholarships for refugees and hill tribe children. Emergency medical care is provided in the most desperate cases.Each child's story is heartbreaking but when we partner together that child's future is bright! Rahab's Rescue bridges those who care with those who hope.100% of all contributions received are distributed directly into that child's life because we volunteer our time.Little Job (pictured left) came from the border of China and Burma and is Lahu (ethnic group). He was born with webbed fingers and missing one foot. When his father died and his mother remarried, Job became a throw-away kid. He was brought to Mercy Home at age 8 where he was enrolled in kindergarten. This was the first time in Job's life he ever held a pencil! Rahab's Rescue paid for surgery for his hands and partners with Mercy Home in Burma.Thailand: 15 year old Prasert is Hmong (ethnic minority) and has a dream to become a computer engineer. He writes, "My father passed away when I was young, leaving my mother behind with 4 young children in the village. It is a struggle for my mother to put us through high school." We have provided a scholarship to turn his dream into a reality. Esther is a lovely kind-hearted children's worker from a remote part of Burma. While alighting from a train in Yangon, her skirt caught as the train lurched forward. She was thrown beneath the wheels and lost her two legs. Rahab's Rescue provided funds for emergency medical care for this courageous young woman who may have lost her legs but hasn't lost her smile."HE THAT WINNETH SOULS IS WISE" Proverbs 11:30

It has been our honor to bring teams of surgeons, doctors, dentists and nurses into remote areas of the Philippines where people have no access to medical care. Thousands of patients have been treated and given free medicine, food, shoes and prayer.

We have helped former communists, drug addicts, highly educated, sick ones, athletes, artists, pastors, teachers, monks, witch doctors, the beautiful, the deformed, and well adjusted students. Meet The Staff

Daniel and Menorah McCarty along with their Asian staff comprise the Happy Family Overseas Ministry. Together with national missionaries, they are blazing a trail for Jesus in Asia. Through these pioneering efforts, God has established two strong Bible schools in Burma and the Philippines, currently in their 11th and 20th year respectively.

Mayette For over 15 years Mayette has faithfully served as our Philippine Bible School Director. Born with the heart of a missionary she has laid down her life for her nation. She has sacrificed and worked around the clock to bring great success to the work in the Philippines. Mayette has also made many mission trips to Thailand, Burma, and Vietnam, and is a gifted administrator for God.

Ed and Luz Ed and Luz are the heart of our Philippine staff and students. Along with teaching full time at our Bible school their compassion to nurture students in their walk with the Lord is a key element to the school's success. Ed and Luz love leading teams in evangelism and worship. They have two beautiful children, JJ and Hannah.

Quenzon & Tess Quenzon and Tessie have been with us from the very beginning. For years he served as Daniel's personal armor bearer on soul-winning missions throughout the Philippine Islands. Quenzon is a true mountain man, the first believer in his family from a very tribal pagan background. Yet his comments are so sincere, and pure, that it reflects an individual who has truly tasted the Power of the Gospel for the very first time!! He has matured into a real man of faith. He and his wife Tessie now faithfully pastor a vibrant church in an area formerly inhabited by headhunters. During missions outreaches there is no one with a bigger heart to win souls to Christ. They have two wonderful boys, John Mark & John Will.

Tina God sure smiled on us the day sister Tina joined our team. Tina, in addition to teaching, is a powerful woman of God. She also oversees the prayer ministry and kitchen at the Philippine Happy Family Bible Training Center. She is one of the most loving, and devoted staff. Hearing her pray is like a small window into heaven. Tasting her cooking is equally amazing.

Hein Hien is a firecracker for the Lord. She is one bright, passionate, young woman of God from Vietnam. She has trained and served with us in the Philippines for 5 years. Together we are laying the groundwork for the new Happy Bible Training School in Vietnam, with her anointed pastor David Giang Dong.

Zam & Huai Zam and Huai are a rare and wonderful Burmese couple who were willing to lay down their lives in one of the toughest areas of Upper Burma. Their sacrifice, endurance and determination has yielded a Gospel explosion of unmatched proportions. Pray for their safety as their freedom is often at great risk due to the military regime in control of the country. They along with all of our Burmese staff are truly "men that have hazarded their lives for the name of the Lord Jesus." Acts 15:26

Suan & Cing Pastor Suan and Cing are well known respected leaders in the nation of Burma. They pastor Trinity church and regularly teach and mentor our new students in the Burma Bible school. Pastor Suan is a true visionary. It was through his inspiration that the dream of the Burmese Bible School was made possible. His has a passion to train young people to reach his nation, while his wife pioneered Joy Preschool and impacts her Buddhist community.

Lian & Zam Niang Lian and Zam Niang are some of the most cheerful, loyal, steadfast teachers at our Burma Bible school. Both received their training at the Happy Family Bible Training Center in the Philippines. They too have been with us from the very beginning in Burma and now have three precious children. We would also like to thank Sian and Lun Pi who teach, help with driving, and computer media. They are a huge boost to the work.

Staff Though space does not allow us to mention every awesome person by name, we want to give a big THANK YOU to each of our wonderful staff especially Christine who sowed so abundently and did the creative fun artwork in our book, "Is God Cool or What!" They are the hands and the feet that power this ministry. Their passion, zeal and love are an inspiration to us all.

From a wealth of deep relationships with Asian leaders, Daniel and Menorah mentor key leaders in the nations of Southeast Asia. Happy Family Overseas Ministry conducts extensive leadership conferences yearly to teach and equip national leaders. In the early years before beginning Bible schools, over 100,000 souls were won to Christ through direct evangelism.
